Congratulations to E9 alumni Julia Pellerin and Ryan Leonard on their recent Hockey East Player of the Month honors, marking a remarkable sweep for E9 Alumni in Hockey East monthly accolades and 3 of 4 monthly honors across top NCAA divisions. Both competed through their E9 youth programs as well as in the top Elite 9 division of the E9 Prep (Boys) and Collegiate Prospects Combines (Girls).

CPC Alumni and Boston College sophomore Julia Pellerin had an outstanding January, earning Hockey East Player of the Month honors for her exceptional play. In nine games, Pellerin led the conference with 12 points, including seven goals and five assists, scoring in all but one game. Her standout month included the first hat trick of her career against Maine on January 7, a five-point performance that highlighted her offensive power. Pellerin continued to impress by recording at least one point in every league game, averaging 1.33 points per game and 5.33 shots per game. She wrapped up January on a five-game point streak, demonstrating both her consistency and ability to perform under pressure. Pellerin, who previously played for the Valley Jr. Warriors in the E9 Girls Top Division of CPC, has proven to be one of the most dynamic players in the league.

Meanwhile, Thunderbirds alumni Ryan Leonard has been making waves in the NCAA, earning multiple Player of the Week honors this season, and most recently, Hockey East Player of the Month for the second time. Leonard began January by captaining Team USA to a World Junior gold medal before returning to the Eagles, where he continued his dominant form. In a standout 7-1-0 month, Leonard led the NCAA with three game-winning goals and netted 10 goals—second in the NCAA—along with two hat tricks and 11 points in eight games. He is currently riding a six-game goal streak, with 10 goals over that stretch, and has recorded multiple points in four straight games.

Both Pellerin and Leonard’s impressive performances serve as a testament to their talent and the strong foundation built during their time in the E9 program. Congratulations again to Julia Pellerin and Ryan Leonard for their well-deserved recognition!
